Pokémon Colosseum

Pokémon Colosseum (Japanese: ポケモンコロシアム Pokémon Colosseum) was released on the Nintendo GameCube on November 21, 2003 at Japan, March 22, 2004 in North America, and May 14, 2004 at Europe. The game followed the simple stadium style battling found at the Pokémon Stadium games, but additional gameplay was contained in the form of an RPG narrative mode comparable to the core collection, which allowed Trainers to catch Generation II and Generation III Pokémon from the desolate region of Orre.

Within this game, the player character Wes was previously a member of a company called Team Snagem, that had obtained a machine that enabled the user to”snag” the other Trainer’s Pokémon as though it had been rampant. Another team, Cipher, was accountable for overseeing the hearts of Pokémon and giving them to Trainers. Plot

Upon reaching the new place, a pair of shady individuals are just leaving the city with a noisy, wriggling sofa in tow. As soon as they see that they’ve been captured, one of these goons, Folly, begins a struggle with the participant. Once defeat, both individuals get away, leaving the sack unattended. A girl emerges out of the bag after some difficulty undoing the knot, and promise to have seen the kidnappers utilize some kind of odd looking Pokémon. The girl becomes the participant’s partner and go to find the Mayor to clear up things. A peculiar guy bumps into the player as he leaves the Mayor’s office, predicting he will observe the participant sometime later on. The participant and spouse then enter the home as the girl proceeds to awake the Mayor of weird Pokémon which have a dark setting and attack humans. The Mayor guarantees that the team that he will look into this case, and suggests visiting the town’s Stadium. At the door of the Arena, some Snagem members recognize the player as the traitor who blew up their base. A conflict with these disagrees, also upon defeat, the woman tells the player that she doesn’t take care of the past, but she does promote purchasing some Poké Balls for future use. Following this scene, the girl, Rui, becomes the participant’s permanent companion, and will adhere to the player throughout the period of the game.The game begins with an opening scene depicting the participant stealing equipment in the closely guarded headquarters of Team Snagem, then moving to flee having the Espeon and Umbreon as the foundation explodes. After riding a strange one-wheeled motorcycle for a while, the player stops at the dilapidated gas station of Outskirt Stand. The player battles Rider Willie, that informs the player about Phenac City after he is defeated.

The player tries to save the Mayor, but finding the most decked-out Miror B. and his mischievous friends in his wake. After beating in a battle, or catching the Shadow Pokémon, the participant tries to leave town for Pyrite Town, but is waylaid by brightly clad goons at every exit. Each includes a Shadow Pokémon, however, conquer of you will cue the others to depart.

From this stage, the player and spouse will journey all across the Orre region, battling Trainers, snagging Shadow Pokémon, also discovering the disastrous plan of the key organization, Cipher. This dishonest group and its ambitious admins will be the creators of Shadow Pokémon, closing their hearts to strengthen their stats. The participant finally learns how to reverse the effects of this procedure, and have to catch all Cipher’s Shadow Pokémon to thwart the evil mastermind behind it all. Battle, Venus in The Under and Ein in the Shadow Pokémon Laboratory, the participant goes to Realgam Tower; after defeating the Admins again, Gonzap comes out and reveals Cipher awarded Team Snagem the Snag Machines; and then that Snagem gave the Pokémon into Cipher, who made Shadow Pokémon; meaning that this was one master plan spanned by Cipher. After beating Snagem, Nascour–the manager of Cipher–has been conquered by the player. Afterwards, it is revealed that Phenac City’s mayor Es Cade is actually Evice, the real boss of Cipher. After he’s defeated, he attempts to escape; nonetheless, luckily, a Ho-Oh utilizes Sacred Fire to prevent him, saving the day.

Even with the genuine leader of Cipher under arrest, there’s still a post-ending to be finished. Secc, from the Kids Grid, mails the player information about a few intriguing characters that wind up telling the player about some points of attention. Battle Mode: Worlds Collide!

Pokémon in the game can be purified in various ways.

  • Walking round with Shadow Pokémon at the party.
  • Rubbing Scents about the Pokémon (these can be bought in Agate Village).
  • Battling together and calling out if the Pokémon reaches its own Hyper Mode.
  • Putting a Shadow Pokémon in the Pokémon Day Care at Agate Village.

When the Heart Gauge reaches the point at which it states”The Pokémon’s heart is about to start! Undo the last lock” , Trainers would visit the Agate Village shrine and use its power to revive the Pokémon’s heart and get rid of the move called Shadow Rush. When the Pokémon has been processed, it is going to obtain all experience and friendship it got during the time it was a Shadow Pokémon, also obtain a special Ribbon exclusive to infantry Pokémon. No effort worth are earned before the Pokémon has been purified.

After gamers have conquered the game, Pokémon could be traded to all Generation III games given that their hearts are available (and certain goals have been finished in FireRed and LeafGreenand if they are being traded to). Be aware that trading Pokémon into Ruby and Sapphire will not unlock the National Pokédex.

Battle Mode

The other half of this game, known as Battle Mode, includes Colosseum Battle and Battle Now. This mode enables players to concentrate solely on Pokémon Battles, similar to the Stadium series.

Colosseum Battle enables players to participate in various challenges that may make the participant Poké Coupons. Along with a different version of the Mt. Battle 100-Trainer Challenge, Colosseum Battle also includes several Colosseum venues to that Trainers could send Pokémon from the RPG or even the Game Boy Advance games to combat.

Battle Now allows one to two players to combat immediately, without any preparation or additional games or Pokémon necessary. Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness’ Quick Battle is almost identical for this manner.

Benefits

While competing at the Mt. Battle 100 Trainer challenge in either the RPG or the Colosseum section of this game, players can get Poké Coupons that can be used to purchase items. In addition, gamers have the choice of storing Poké Coupons to a Pokémon Ruby or Sapphire game pak for later use. Compatibility

Pokémon Colosseum is compatible with all five of their center series Pokémon games to the Game Boy Advance. Items and Pokémon may be traded between them in the exact same way they may be traded between one another, however, the player must have defeated Evice in the main story mode so as to unlock it, have a GameCube-Game Boy Advance cable, and a Game Boy Advance.
